I have been trying to turn on the Fax Services component,
but everytime I try, it asks for me to put in the XP-Home
Edition CD ROM. My XP came pre-installed with my
computer and the manufaterer either did not send me a CD
ROM or I've lost it.

The manufacturer is NOT on Microsoft's OEM list, so I
can't get anywhere with their customer support help
either. Can anyone tell me how I can get a copy of the
CD-ROM? I know I can download the Setup, but it says
that you still need the CD ROM!

All I want to do is start sending faxes! I'm not a
computer wizard, so I'm kind of lost here. Help!

The only way to get a CD is to contact the manufacturer
of your computer. Microsoft does not replace OEM CDs.

Thanks. I have a slight problem with that. I think they
are no longer in business. The name of the company is
Microtel and they are not on Microsoft's OEM list.

The little booklet that came with my computer has a
sticker on it that says "For distribution with a new e
Max PC only" Does this mean anything???

I have a similar problem, in my case adding the fax functionality after using an XP upgrade CD, it allows for me to browse by hard drive for the files since they are not on the CD, but I do not know what directory to steer into. Any suggestions?
