Is there a way to add custom x-axis labels on a histogram generated
from a pivot table? Right now, I have months (Jan - Dec) as x-axis
labels on the histogram. On top of this, I would like to add some
salient dates (e.g. 8/17/2009 or whatever) on the xaxis and label
them. How do I do this? (using office 2007)

Hi
have a look at the free charting label tools available, maybe they
help:

John Walkenbach's Chart Tools: http://j-walk.com
Rob Bovey's Chart Labeler: http://appspro.com

HTH, cheers & have a nice day,
Michael
