adding Columns to Table

Some of the fields I need when capturing data from a database belonging to
another group are deleted when recreating my table. In order to get all of
the data from a joined table, I would need to add about 6 columns to the
table. Please advise how I can do this through my update macro.

Open table in design view and add fields and select correct datatype.
