Adding another hard-drive with 2 partitions

I've got a staff member with a problem; he's got a hard drive (HD) to
install as a 2nd HD in his laptop with all his GIS data. The 2nd HD is
partitioned into 2 drives (I'll call them E and F drives since the last
drive letter in use on the laptop is D). When he installs it, WinXP Pro
will only recognize 1 drive, calling it F. What can we do so that WinXP Pro
can "see" both drives?

TIA

What was Drive E and F in its original computer --- C and
D? If was originally Drive C and it was an active partition,
then it is probably now Drive D in the laptop, making the
laptop's Drive D into Drive E. Check out this possibility in
Disk Management and re-assign the drive letters.
