Considering my previous question, I'm guessing that I
need a phone line. If thats the case, whats the best
suggested setup for faxing. The old fashioned way thru a
fax machine? Or is there still a way to do it using my
PC?

You are correct in that you will need an analog fax/modem to send faxes.
Alternately, you can use a fax service which will receive your faxes over
your cable connection and resend using a phone line.

You can use a stand-alone fax machine, an all-in-one printer/fax/copier, or
a computer-card solution. Let us know and someone can provide more details
on any of these means.

Depends on what your going to use the fax for?
XP's fax program is very basic. No distinctive ring - if set to auto answer
it will anser all calls. Cannot fax multiple faxes through fax console,
must use program such as MSword or Outlook Express. When using fax console
you can only fax a cover page and put info.
