Added two 1gig (of correct) ram sticks. Bios sees ~2500mb ram. Windows
My Computer_properties only shows ~500mb ram. System can use up to
4gigs ram.
Dell Dimension 4600 pent4 2.6ghz. One and a half year old. What is
the fix???
Dell says re-install. I am sure there must be a set up fix, or
something.

If you got the RAM from Dell and it doesn't work, they now have to deal with
the problem. And a reinstall is not the answer. Press onward and demand to
speak to a persons superior.
