Added DVD drive doesn't show in Win2K-Pro's Windows Explorer

I installed a DVD-ROM drive to my W2K-Pro machine which already had a
working DC-ROM drive installed and working. Both the CD-ROM and DVD-ROM
drives are listed in Computer Management's Logical Drives listing. How
do I get Windows Explorer to recognize the existence of this added drive?

Thanks, in advance, for any advice.

Does it appear as a CD-rom? Does it have a drive letter assigned? Did
you install DVD software?

Thanks for your response.

The new DVD-ROM drives appears in Win2K-Pro Computer Management's
logical drive list and has a drive letter assigned. I wasn't able to
install the DVD-ROM software (from Plextor) because it is on a DVD-ROM
disk and my existing CD-ROM drive won't read DVD-ROM disks and because
Windows Explorer, which does not show the existence of the new DVD-ROM
drive, won't let me bring the DVD drive up.

If no errors in Device manager then I wonder if you have hidden the
Drive letter that is assigned to the drive? Get TweakUI and unhide any
drive letters.

TweakUI certainly fixed the problem. That is a new one for me. Many
thanks.

How on earth did the drive letter get hidden in the first place? I
certainly didn't knowingly hide the drive letter.

With Windows, one learns something new every day .....

I don't have an answer for that, but it pops up occasionally, so with
the criteria specified, that's a suggested "fix".
