Add Windows components & maintain SP/update level

Hi

I'm using W2K Pro. I want to add the IIS service to test a small intranet
setup. I'm currently at SP2 and have used AutoUpdate to install the latest
security patches etc.

Will I need to re-install SP2? If so, will I need to uninstall it first, or
should I just install SP3? Will AutoUpdate recognise the new component and
install all the necessary updates relating to it?

Thanks for any advice.

Dave.

I cannot answer your question with 100% certainty, but I'd suggest
installing SP3. (I have yet to install SP4 on my intranet server, and I
don't think I'm going to for a little while, as I've heard some rumbling
about SP4 causing issues with IIS. I haven't looked into it yet though.)
But more of a suggestion is to fix your system time. Your post is going to
be last in line and many people not even notice it.
