Ok, I have a big problem. I had Windows 7 installed on my computer, then
decided to install XP Pro after as a dual-boot. The problem is that the XP
bootloader overwrote the 7 bootloader, and I can't figure out how to add the
Windows 7 option back in. I have boot.ini open in notepad, and I see the new
XP option, but I don't know how to add the option. I know that the disk with
7 on it is disk number 1, and it is on partition 1. Could someone please give
me the code for booting to the 7 hard drive that I can add to the boot.ini
file? I really want to be able to boot to windows 7 along with xp.

Windows 7 does not use a boot.ini file.
It has it's own small bootloader partition in addition
to the full size Windows 7 partition.

Try EasyBCD, it may fix your problem.

EasyBCD found the previous bootloader, with just the windows 7 option, told
me it was c:\boot.ini, but that file had the current bootloader settings. (C
is the 7 drive) it is the primary drive 1 according to the bios.

If you don't find a solution on any of the forums
that PA_BEAR posted then as a last resort you
could try a Windows 7 Repair Install:
