Follow up to Accounts and Opportunities has been a regular theme in this
forum and various techniques to link them to Tasks has been suggested as a
solution or workaround.

Microsoft already recognizes Opportunities as a type of Task. Why not go the
extra yard and also provide Opportunities with the same functionality as a
Task through the Due Date, Start Date, Status, Priority, % Complete, Reminder
and Contacts fields available with Tasks and then permit the same reporting
capabilities as with Tasks (e.g., on Outlook Today)? The date fields can then
be used to trigger follow-ups.

Added to suggestions to permit flexible many-to-many links to Contacts, to
provide bidirectional navigation to and from them, and to permit user
categorization of a number of the fields, the Opportunity form approaches the
efficient, one-stop approach to Opportunity management that many are
requesting.

Hey Dave,

The suggestions in your post seem reasonable enough. We'll get our best
people working on this right away!

Sorry but that was my just fantasy response that kinda slipped out there.
