Someone please tell me why it is when I copy email html text from skype site
that has developed skype me button for email signature blocks, that on my
email messages only the coding shows up and I don't get the skype me button

Are you sending the e-mail in HTML format?

Thanks I have figured it out, I have created new signature block and used the
file (htm extension file with code in the file, so that when you open file
you get skype button directly) that was created by skype to create button as
template
