add shortcut to 'my computer' locations to store emails

In older versions it was easy to set up a short cut to folders outside the
outlook system ie just a general folder on 'my computer'.
Can this be done in O2007?
It was a handy way of backing up important emails

Yes. Click "shortcuts" in the bottom left corner of Navigation Pain.

From there it's the same as older versions.

Yes you can, but it's a little tricky. I don't know wether microsoft did this
on pourpose or if it's a bug... Open the "SHORTCUTS" group in the NAVIGATION
PANE (on the left side of the outlook window). Now click&drag the shortcut of
the file or folder onto the "SHORTCUTS" group button...

Um. No. Do not drag a shortcut to the shortcut area. Browse to the original
and drag it.
