Add/Remove Windows Components Error

When I open Add/Remove components in control panel, and select Add/Remove
WINDOWS COMPONENTS, I get the following error:

"sysocmgr.exe - Entry Point Not Found : The procedure entry point
WNetEnumCachedPasswords could not be located in the dynamic link library
MPR.dll"

Once I click okay on the error dialog, the display for adding and removing
windows components appears.

I have seen a number of citations for this problem in the usenet archives,
but was unable to find a solution to the problem anywhere.

I believe the problem started after I did an upgraded a fresh installation of
win2k SP2 to SP3, followed by a number of crital and recommended updates at
windows update. I installed SP4 to try to fix the problem, but that didn't
work.

Would appreciate any help in fixing the problem!
