I'm running Win2K SP4 Pro at the latest update level.
When I launch add-Remove Windows Components O/E and I/E
are checked I uncheck them and check Win Media to remove
it. The program runs and immediately ends. All that
happenes is that the icons (shortcuts) are removed fron
the desktop and programs list and Win Media isn't
removed. What is the name of the Add -remove program so
that I can remove it manualy and repair? Or how do I
repair Add - Remove Win Components. Add - remove PROGRAMS
works correctly. Thanks.

No help there. The tips are about removing viruses not
