From "Add or Remove Programs" I click "Remove" for Pro Tools software and I
keep getting the message:

"Another version of Pro Tools appears to be installed on this computer.
Please use the Add or Remove programs control panel to uninstall the existing
Pro Tools and restart the computer before reinstalling Pro Tools.

What is "protools" or "Pro Tools" (as you have spelt it
differently twice).
GoTo: Start/Programs and see if there is an uninstall
option for it.
GoTo: Home site for the product and click on the support link.

ProTools is multitrack audio recording software published by DidiDesign.
It's a fully professional grade package. Many, if not most, modern digital
studios use it, and there is a lot of fantastically expensive hardware to go
with it.

There are some "lite" versions now, for use with specific inexpensive audio
interfaces.

The OP needs to go to the DigiDesign support site and search there, because
this isn't a Windows issue.

You need to ask this at DigiDesign, as it's not really a Windows question.
Look for "clean uninstall" and "manual uninstall". It does matter *which*
version you've installed.

try a reinstall, as sometimes the installer gets messed up.
go to the manufactors web site and get the original software and or tech
support.

I don't know what went wrong there. If you hace the ProTools cd there's an
uninstall option. Or try to install over the installation then uninstall.
