When I use add/remove programs in control panel I see a large area of white
space in the scrolling section.
Any ideas how to clear this?

Hello,
a DisplayIcon value in the Uninstall key in the Registry might be corrupt.
Regedit.exe ->
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\.
Now you will have to look into every \ID or \program name, if the
DisplayIcon value has a "-" after the path, such as "-23"; this causes the
icon to be not loadable and therefore there might be this error.
I hope this won't destroy anything

I found two keys with a - number in the display icon path and deleted the -
number. This has had no effect on the problem.

Any other ideas?
