I have XP SP2 and when I went into Control Panel and clicked Add or Remove
Programs, I receive the Set Program Access and Defaults display inside of the
Add or Remove Programs window. Before this happened, I could see the Add or
Remove Programs window but I could not chose anything next to a program to
remove it. Please help, as I am unable to remove programs.

Click on Start/Run and enter APPWIZ.CPL this should take you to Add/Remove
Programs.

Open Add/Remove programs... if you see the screen to set program defaults
again... look on the side of the pane and select the top most item to Change
or Remove programs... Add remove will be back to its default state.
