I was updating Norton System Works pro 2002 to 2004 version.
After the Prescan, gave me a message to uninstall previous version of
Ghost...

Went to Uninstall, and found only 15 programs listed... should be about 75
to 100...
PLUS, on highlighting any program, "Change" & "Remove" buttons are disabled.

Frankly, I'd like to ring Norton's Neck!!!

But... first... how do I fix this?

Oh... BTW... tried the w2k repair... something wrong with my ERD set....
figures, huh?

TIA,

Chris

Chris,
I don't know if any of this will help.

I had a similiar experience when I upgraded windows 98 to
windows XP without first removing Norton Systemworks. The
problem became worse after I installed Service Pack 1 on
top the XP upgrade. After a lot of fooling around I
finally went to their web site and found an article that
said that you have to unistall systemworks before
upgrading to XP. In the end I just threw in the towel,
backed up my data and reformated the system.

Thanks Michael....
....yeah... I suspected as much.
I guess I'm trying a last ditch effort to avoid restoring the system from my
back-up... it's recent... so no problem there... but, I do wonder how this
happened at all.

What in H*ll did Norton DO?
What did it corrupt or destroy?

Chris
