The program for AOL has been eliminated from my computer. The problem I have
is I cannot remove the folder form add/remove. I tried to rightclick and
delete it did not work. I tried to highlight anduse shift+del, it did not
work either. Is there someone who can assist me with removing this folder?

Hi JimH,

See if the information in this MSKB article helps you to resolve the
problem:

Ms MacLeod,
I may be able to use this process but I cannot get the backup program to
run. Backup is installed on my computer. When I get into the backup wizard,
it won't accept the name/destination I want to use (D:\). I get an invalid
message.

Perhaps I'm missing something here, as I don't understand what the process
for manually removing programs from Add/Remove has to do with getting the
backup program to run.

The removal deals with the registry. Message says I should backup the
registry before I use it to remove the folder I want to get rid of.

Ah, okay. I normally "backup" the registry branch that I will be modifying,
as per step numbers 4 and 5.

If your D: drive is a CD burner, you have to format the CD/CD-RW before it
will be recognized as a valid medium for the backup utility.
