I downlaoded 'Cheetah Audio Converter' and was told there was an infected
file on instalation. The programme will not open saying there is a run time
error and I have tried everything to remove and uninstall the programme.
Instalation tells me it is uninstalled, but rerains in 'Add and Remove'. I
have had other problems since install too. Can any one advise how to remove
it completely please? I'm running Windows XP.

Attempt to remove the malware with your antivirus or anti-spyware software.

I tried Ted, Norton couldn't find anything, but Spybot got rid of some
problems with 'Cheetah' (and a whole lot more)! but, I still can't get rid of
that pesky programme from the 'Add and Remove' list. Should I just delete the
main file and put up with the programme name in the list? I got another
uninstaller to try to get rid of it, that too told me it was uninstalled, but
the file still remained and the name in the main list? Unless I get real
drastic and reboot the whole system from scratch, mind you, if there's a
wrong way to do it, I can do it.... Christina
