I'm using Windows XP Home Edition. When I try to uninstall
any program using the add/remove feature, it stops
on "application remnant cleaner". It will not go any
further. But if I go to Norton Cleansweep or something
like that, they uninstall fine. Is there a way to fix this
without having to reinstall Windows? My version came with
my computer and I hate the thoughts of having to use it to
reinstall Windows. Is there a way to reinstall Windows
from this type of cd without having to start completely
over? Plus, I would have to reinstall all the updates
again which would be a nightmare. Thanks for your help!

If Norton Cleansweep does the job why not just use that instead of
Add/Remove programs?
