Just an update for my previous thread.

I want to thanks, JCO, Frank and Nightowl for their help and assistance to
resolve the issue of Add / Remove taking about 14 minutes to populate (no it
was not a white or blank space scenario). What worked for me is running
windows repair. Just a word for Windows Repair - once it is done SP2 needs to
be installed again.

Thank you,

Danial

That depends on the WinXP version on CD and applies to WinXP RTM and
WinXP SP1 on your CD only. However, all of the updates being released
after SP2 have to be re-installed as well - in *all* cases!

Yes that is a well known fact, but then only if your installation CD does
not have SP2. If you have a retail or generic OEM installation CD without
SP2, you can create one that has SP2 integrated on it, in a process commonly
termed slipstreaming. Here are some links on how to do this. Autostreamer
makes it easier. Also even with SP2 on the install CD all post SP2 updates
need to be reinstalled.
