I want to offer uswers the chance to add my program to their startup when
they install it. I don't mean the Start Up menu, but instead to have it
listed in msconfig and start up automatically when the computer does.

Can anyone help ?

You need to add it to the registry.
just add a entry to launch your program.
MS has a bunch of different places it
stores this but i would try

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
