I am not able to add a (network) printer to a Win 2000
workstation because the Printers folder in the Control
Panel is empty! There is no Add Printer ikon. What can I
do?

Sounds like a security issue. Are you logged in as an "administrator?" Is
this machine on a network?

Dear,

I'm looking after the same problem, no way to find
the "add printer icon".

Restarted Print Spooler
Reatarted PC (Win2000)
Checked evtvwr, no errors on system or application level.

anyone a hint?
