Hi all,

As per the help of outlook 2003

it says that go to Standart Menu Toolbar and then go to Add / Remove
buttons, then click customize a dialog box will open.
Now choose "Go" from categories list and then choose "News" from command list.

The problem:
----------------
There is no "News" option under the command list for "Go" category. I have
freshly installed "Outlook 2003".
Please help me as soon as possible

why dont you use Outlook Express as your Newsreader?

Hi AndreasRoeder,

Unfortunately i have removed all the installation files of outlook express.
Can i re-install outlook express after removing it. I am using windows
server 2003 and it says that you can't install IE 6.0 SP1 ( which in turn
install outlook express ).
Is there any other solution ?

The only way you will be able to restore newsreader functionality to Outlook
2003 under the circumstances you have described will be by installing a
third-party NNTP newsreader, or reinstalling Outlook Express. Why?

Because Microsoft Outlook has no native newsreader functionality of its own,
and uses whatever the default Windows newsreader is. In most cases, this is
Outlook Express, since it is installed as the default newsreader when XP
Windows is installed.

Find many third-party newsreaders here:
http://www.newsreaders.com/win/clients.html

I recommend Agent 2.0 or Microplanet Gravity 2.6 and above, having used them
both. Both are fully configurable and easy to use.

How did you remove it? It can't be removed from Add/Remove programs and
Outlook will not function correctly without it:

OL2002: Why Outlook 2002 Requires Outlook Express

It is not uncommon for the News command to be missing from the "Go" command
list. To get the News command back, go back to the Programs tab in 'Control
Panel|Internet Options' and change the default newsreader to Outlook
Express. If OE prompts you to make it your default newsreader the next
time you launch it, clear the "Always perform this check..." box and then
click the "No" button.
