I have the same problem. It keeps wanting to install my
printer which is installed and works fine. The MSFT
knowledge base recognizes this problem, but has no
solution. It says to "fake it out" by going through the
motions of installing. This doesn't work. HP only says
that there are no drivers because it is embedded in the
XP OS. Weird...Bothersome too.

>You want to check and make sure ALL of your PCI cards

are firmly in place and the screw tight. You are having
an intermitant open in a connection. Probably vibration
in the shipping of your machine. Thos handlers are pretty
rough when it's not their machine. In the HARDWARE WIZARD
click properties for every piece of hardware on you
machine and it should say DEVICE IS WORKING PROPERLY. The
tiny connections on the motherboard are notorious for
working lose. A close inspection is in order there. This
is time consuming I know or you could just wait until
something stops working and vula! there it is.
