I have a problem. Windows automatically installs my USB
scanner as an unknown device. I have no way of
installing it as a scanner and even though i have the
Updated driver on my cpu, windows doesnt see the two
being together and wont install ANY driver for my
scanner...

Hi;
1- If extra power comes from a "supply": Pull OFF the plug.
2- DELETE what's there: unknown device et all related.
3- Delete Drivers using proper channels. *******

Power-down/off the PC.

DISCONNECT the scanner from the cable.

ON: check all over that the dissapearing act was a success both for the
device AND the drivers.

Instructions always say to install the drivers 1st.
The song says: "Do it again".

I know it sounds stupid but that life 99% of the time.

The 1% that fails we cure later.
Report back.

Mikey
