Add new hardware wizard pops up

I have a firewire card and i-pod. My audio drivers are installed properly. but whenever i start my computer Add new hardware wizard pops up. Says software for your multimedia controller is not installed. device manager shows question mark in multimedia controller listing.
When the pop up comes during system startup -> clicked on next in the add new H/W wizard. an option saying you can connect to internet to install the software shows up-> clicked on yes, but nothing happens.

ANY SOLUTION TO GET RID OF THIS
