I can add net network places into my Windows Explorer by the usual way:

Right click on the desktop icon "My Network Places"->Open->Add...->Wizard

Assume I have now setup a remote network folder with the wizard.

When I want access this remote folder the first time and my local user is NOT equal
to the (a) remote user I am asked for a userlogin+password and if I want to save the
password permanently. Unfortunately I checked "yes".

Now I could access the remote network folder as intended.

However later I wanted to remove the stored password information again.

How do I do this?

Simply removing the network place in WinExplorer is not sufficient! The password
is still stored somewhere (Where exactly (in Registry) ?).

How do I delete the saved userlogin+password permanently? So that I am asked again for the password
the next time after re-boot when I want to access the network place.

Another question: Is it possible to add new network places NOT by using
the GUI based Wizard but a command line command ?

Hi,
try and change the password of the remote PCs user. The User/Password popup
should appear again and then make sure you don't check the save password box.

To use the CLI for mapping drives use the "net use" command. "net use /?"
gives you the detailed options like making it permanent or how to add
user/password information.
