'Add Network Place' fails on Windows XP 64-bit Professional Editio

We have Windows XP Professional 64-bit edition. We are trying to add a
network place and it fails all the time. It says 'The folder you are trying
to add is not valid'. Anyone else experiencing this problem? Any solutions?
