I have a web page at http://home.comcast.net/~southhadleyhistoricalsociety.

I would like to send the link in an Outlook 2003 email. However, I would
like the text in the email that leads to the URL to appear as "South Hadley
Historical Society" rather than as the long URL above.

I presume that when I learn how to do this, the "South Hadley Historical
Society" text in the email will appear in a different color than the rest of
the text in the message, showing that it is a valid link to
http://home.comcast.net/"southhadleyhistoricalsociety.

I will appreciate advice as to how to accomplish this.

If using Word 2003 as the Outlook message editor, you can edit what appears
for the actual link. Click Ctrl+K to insert the link, then edit what the
link says.

Dear Milly:

Thank you. When I use "CTRL K" and then edit what appears for the actual
link, it appears to have worked, changing
"http://home.comcast.net/~southhadleyhistorial society" to "South Hadley
Historical Society." I sent that to myself as a test. However, on the
receiving end of the email, I get BOTH the long URL
(http://home.comcast.net/~southhadleyhistoricalsociety) AND the "South Hadley
Historical Society." I only want to get the latter, of course. Am I doing
something wrong in my use of "CTRL K" and then editing the link? I will
appreciate help.
