I'd like to add icons - such as a little image of a speaker, or a digital
camera or similar, to my links - to indicate that the page the link points to
contains audio or video material.

However, it seems like if I use the Navigational Structure, I cannot add
anything else but simple text to the links.

I'm using FrontPage 2003 and my site is http://www.synthmania.com

Thanks!

Correct, you would have to use another method to create your navigation structure.

Whatever meets your needs... which mean the you will have to manually manage your site navigation
structure and not rely on the FP navigation components, so this will require you to replace the
navigation structure in all page with whatever new method you come up with.

The key issue, is the benefit to the site visitor of adding the icons, worth the effort to
implement?

There is another way, and this is to either modify a theme or create your
own theme.

I have done this myself and it is very rewarding.

For info on how to do this, look at this link =
