To make note during the daily work e.g. in meetings people uses often a
copybook or writing book. Some are using notebooks. As we will get ore small
notebooks like the Asus Ee in the future this group will grow fast.
Therefore I propose to add a simple application with the name “Diary” to
Outlook.
The features are as follows
1. Blank paper
2. Different templates e.g. for minutes, phone calls, notes, private notes
3. Actions and appointments can be added to Outlook
4. Entries should be send by mail
5. Entries should be move to an Outlook folder but still remains in the Diary
6. Think about a small drawing function

Dear Judy, tks for your feedback. May be that OneNote is a similar software
but we have to pay for 170 US$ in Germany. How many people buy it?

Dear Diane, I see a big market of 100 million notebook the Asus Ee class for
the next 3-5 years. It will come from beginners in development countries and
people which will use such small notebook a 2nd mobile computer in meetings,
university, traveling and holidays. (To send pictures and greetings)
They need/want simple and cheap software and applications like my proposal
of a Diary. A light version of OneNote with Open XML could be a solution.
For me it would be the best to put it in Outlook if possible (open xml +
..pst?) The question for MS is if the notebooks are running with Linux or
software from Microsoft. If MS offer a good software solution for this the
notebook market they will make the business.
