I cannot find out how to add contacts in windows Mail. I have a Contact
folder that has the contacts that were transferred from Outlook 2003. These
do not show the e-mail address. When I click on the file it opens a e-mail
with my address in "To".

I have another Contact folder in my C: drive in which one address was stored
when I sent an e-mail. But there is nothing there that gives me the ability
to Add a contact.

Which folder would be the right folder for Windows Mail. I need to know
what to back up.

It sounds like your Contacts folder is using the wrong folder template to
display.

Open your Contacts folder from the toolbar button>right click in a blank
area of the folder>select 'customise this folder'>select Contacts from the
drop down menu.

I have a similar problem.
I use the email-function of my internet provider (freenet.de).
Does anybody know?
Thanks

Please describe your exact problem.

If the toolbar in Contacts doesn't have its normal icons,
then the folder type for Contacts is incorrect. Try this:
Open Windows Contacts. Right-click somewhere in that
empty white space to the far right. Select Customize This Folder,
click the little triangle, and from the dropdown list select Contacts,
then click OK.
