Recently installed XP on a new HD due to old HD taking a
dump. Previously ran WinME. Had installed Adaptec Duo
Connect 3121 USB 2 & Firewire card under ME in my Dell
Dimension 8100 with no problem. However, XP does not
appear to recognize the card (Device Manager). It
says "Unsupported Device", yet the USB ports are working,
though perhaps at only USB 1.1 speed.

Has anyone sucessfully implemented the Duo Connect 3121
with XP. Are you using MS or Adaptec drivers. I tried
installing Adaptec's driver, but XP said the one I had was
better. Should I remove the card and start over? Thanks
for any advice in advance.

Install the latest Adaptec USB 2.0 driver for this card. It will work
perfectly. Mine does.
