We are installing a new Active directory domain and
killing off our Netware. We have about 150 users and 3
sites. I have not been able to find suggested or minimum
requirements for the primary active directory server.
This server will not do much more then run AD(maybe a
print server down the road). Does anybody have insight to
this?

RAM RAM RAM! AD will run on 128mb... but I wouldn't do
it. I would have atleast 512mb if not 1gb ecspecially if
this is going to be your Primary Domain Controller. CPU I
would not go much lower than a PIII 700, it will run, but
not wonderfully. I would suggest a lower end P4 or AMD
2700. HD space should not be that crucial, but the speed
of the HD is, 7200 RPM IDE atleast. 3x7200 rpm Seagate
Baracudas on a stripe set with parity will so the job
nicely. But if you have the money go SCSI! But who does
nowadays
