Ehlo Lanciae,

It seems like you've got adware stuck in your PC. I would use Malwarebytes'
software to try and remove it: http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

Also, you can go to Start > Control Panel > Internet Options > Programs >
Manage Add-ons. Look for everything whose publisher name is "Trueads" and
disable it. Remember to close all Internet Explorer windows before you do
that.

There is a very good chance that you are seeing the effects of a hijackware
infection!

NB: If you had no anti-virus application installed or the subscription had
expired *when the machine first got infected* and/or your subscription has
since expired and/or the machine's not been kept fully-patched at Windows
Update, don't waste your time with any of the below: Format & reinstall
Windows. A Repair Install will NOT help!

1. See if you can download/run the MSRT manually:

NB: Run the FULL scan, not the QUICK scan! You may need to download the
MSRT on a non-infected machine, then transfer MRT.EXE to the infected
machine and rename it to SCAN.EXE before running it.

2. [WinXP ONLY!! =>] Run the Windows Live Safety Center's 'Protection' scan
(only!) in Safe Mode with Networking, if need be:

3. Run a /thorough/ check for hijackware, including posting the requested

You also should get an Ad Blocker... I only know of the one that you can use
with Firefox. I haven't seen an ad in years...

Go to Add/Remove programs in your Control panel and see if there is a fishy
program i9nstalled and uninstall it, then go through these cleaning steps
below.
Run a thorough scan by doing the following steps:

Click start >> Control Panel >> Double Click Network and Internet
Connections >> Double click Internet Options, on the IE Properties window
you will see these Options:
General | Security | Privacy | Content | Connections | Programs
| Advanced .

Click on General Tab (1st Tab on the left) and you will see a Button called
[ Clear History ..] click on it to clear your History caches, then click on
[Delete Files..] to delete Internet Files created over the time, click on [
Delete Cookies...] to delete your cookies left by visiting websites.

= Then try to Disable the Add-Ons on your Browser somehow installed on your
browser, On how to disable the Add-ons follow this:
Click on Programs Tab and then click the Manage Add-Ons Button there Disable
the None/Not Verified Plug-ins/Add-ons ( you need to Renable them one-by-one
later and see which is the culprit .

Then click on Advanced tab and scroll down to under the Browsing Option:

Find the IP address(es) used by the "Trueads" people and add it/them to your
HOSTS file.
