→ can access internet from Win98 wired ICS client
→ can't access internet from the laptop via the ad-hoc wireless network
→ encryption is not enabled
→ laptop receives DHCP config
→ cannot ping gateway (192.168.0.1) from laptop
→ ICS PC and LAPTOP indicate wireless connection is made
ICS PC - running XP home
WIRED PC - running Win98
LAPTOP - running XP home
ICS PC has 3 network connections:
USB DSL - shared, firewalled
WIRED - bridged
WIRELESS - bridged
BRIDGE - 192.168.0.1 (manuallly configured)
LAPTOP has 2 network connections:
WIRED
WIRELESS
We've tried the following configurations on the laptop:
bridged connections
non-bridged connections
WIRED disabled
