Software Restriction Policies got introduced in Windows XP and Windows
Server 2003. I assume that you are running a Windows 2000 domain
controller and edit your group policies from there. You do now have two
options:

(a) download the GPMC from Microsoft (it's free):
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en
and edit your policy from a client (Windows XP or Windows Server 2003)

(b) copy the *.adm files from a XP machine's inf/-folder to the domain
controller's inf/-folder and edit them then.

But I'd recommend you stick with option (a) as the *adm files will be
overwritten with every service pack.

cheers,

Florian
