Hi people,
For those of you who uses Ad-Aware from Lavasoft: I have a question
regarding the installation of the latest Ad-Aware 2007.

I already have Ad-Aware Professional installed in my system and do I
have to uninstall it before installing the new program or what?

Just installed it and it said, it will uninstall any earlier versions

Installing Ad-Aware 2007 uninstalls the previous version Ad-Aware. Any
Ad-Aware Add-ons you had installed are included in the new version. Source:

It's best to disable any background apps, expecailly anti-virus,
anti-spyware apps, reboot, before you install a new version, even if
from the same Author.

my new install adaware 2007 didn't do that, the older version of adaware was
left behind, installed and still working, I had to uninstall it manually.

Entirely for the sake of argument: Was it Ad-Aware SE v1.06 or Ad-Aware 6?
