Upon startup I get a message telling me that actskn43.ocx is not configured
correctly, or one of it's dlls etc.
I cancel the message and continue to work.
Is this file important? Can I live without it? How do I prevent the message
from coming up with every starup?

You need to remove the spyware from your computer.
