My activity light blinks constantly when I'm not running any programs. Then
when I move my mouse slightly, it stops for about 60 seconds & then starts
blinking again.

I am not updating, running a program.....or doing ANYTHING.

I have windows XP, service Pak 2, IE 7.0 I have a Dell Dimension 2400 desk
top.

I do not have a virus, etc.

Bring up the task manager, click on the processes tab, and sort by CPU
utilization. That should show you who is using your CPU.

Are you referring to the disk activity light, the modem activity
light, or do you actually have a CPU activity light?
