In the group policy editor (gpedit.msc), navigate to the following node:
User Configuration
Administrative Templates
Windows Components
Internet Explorer
Administrator Approved Controls
Right-click on a control and select Enabled. You'll need to be logged on
under an admin-level account.
I have to wonder if you should be using the Administrator Approved setting
since it appears you don't know about policies. Also, if you are in a
domain, it doesn't matter what you set here because these are *local*
policies which get overriden by whatever domain on which you login. I
haven't bothered with using this setting but figured it was a policy setting
and dug around in the group policy editor. I doubt users ever bother with
this setting as it is a policy setting that an admin would define for their
domain to restrict users only to those AX controls that are allowed within
the company.
You should have heard of Google by. Very handy for finding this sort of
