Hi,

I am using IE 6.0 and i have full admin rights in the pc. when i try for
windows updates and other video files in online it is asking me to download
activex and when i click the download from the information bar i am getting
an error message as follows.

windows has blocked this software because it can't verify the publisher.
Name : blockpage.cgi?ws-session=1045358041
Publisher : Unknown Publisher

The same video files and windows updates is working in other pc's by
downloading and installing those activex control.

what could be the problem ? I even tried installing IE 7.0 but facing the
same issue.

Any help is highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Chandra

To resolve this issue, I suggest we perform the following step:

1. Click Start, click Run, input "INETCPL.CPL" (without the quotation marks)
and
press Enter.
2. Select the "Security" tab and then choose "Custom Level..."

3. On the "Security Settings" window, change the option "Download unsigned
ActiveX controls" to "Prompt."
4. Click "Ok" on "Security settings" and "Ok" on "Internet options."

5. Close all browsers and then attempt to visit the website again. We should
receive a "security warning" and be prompted to install the software, select
"yes"
to allow the unsigned ActiveX controls to be installed.

Hi Gurpreet Singh

Thanks for your reply.

But it didn't worked.

Now again the error appears but the code is different.

Here is the error
Windows has blocked this software because it can't verify the publisher.

Name : blockpage.cgi?ws-session=3126630185 (In my first post this error code
was 1045358041)
Publisher: Unknown Publisher

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks again.

Regards
Chandra
