ActiveX control not invoked by IE while opening tif-image

While opening a tif-image IE should invoke SwiftView (ActiveX
control).. It seems that IE does not recognice the mime type, and
displayes the tif file as text instead of invoking the activeX
control.

Some tif-images work and some not.

Hope anyone can help with this issue.
