I downloaded IE7 beta 2 refresh and I must click on every ActiveX to
activate them.
It's very boring. For IE6 there's an update to remove but for IE7 there's
nothing.

Which DLL control ActiveX ?
It want to put the old DLL for ActiveX of IE6 into my IE7 to avoid clicking
everytime.

Hi JEROME :-)

All IE7 Beta 2 Public Preview testers are being asked to post their
comments, questions and problems regarding IE7 to the following newsgroup.
The folks there specialize in helping you with problems such as yours and
others specific to the Beta 2 program, and the IE7 Beta team is also
assisting in this group and anxious to hear of your experience and comments.
microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general newsgroup.

On the web:

In your newsreader:

Hope this helps.

Hello Jerome,

The reason for this boring activation is that a company named Eolas
Technologies (eolas.com) claimed having a patent for browser plug-ins.
Microsoft has implemented this unnecessary activation step to avoid
horrendous licence fees which Eolas demands.
