ActiveWorkbook.BreakLink runs but doesn't work?!

I recorded this:

ActiveWorkbook.BreakLink Name:="R:\Statistics\Reporting\Daily Snapshot
Code Book.xlsm", Type:=xlExcelLinks

.....when manually breaking the link everything works fine. When the
above line of code runs it goes through ok but the links don't
actually get broken

Anyone ever experienced this before and got a workaround?

Any help much appreciated
