My Windows PDA crashed and Garmin sent me a new unit. I have tried to sync
the info from Outlook 2000 into my new PDA without success.

I get the following message from MS Outlook:
"Syncronizatin cannot be started because you are not able to log on to the
network and access information. Restart your desktop computer and syncronize
again. If problem persist, contact your network administrator."

I called Garmin and they said the problem must be an issue with Outlook
2000. They suggested I call Microsoft and Microsoft suggests I try this
method for help before spending the $49 for their support.

Have you tried a soft reset of your unit?

In this case then it might help to have more details. Are you a home user or
business user of Outlook?

Go into Manage My Computer and reset the password for the profile you use to
log into the PC. Restart the PC. Then reset your handheld. See if that helps.
I have several Treo users where I work and this happens to them every so
often. Changing their network password (the password they use to log into the
computer with) and resetting the handheld and resynching works for them.
