I am struggling to get my CE 5.0 device connected to VS (either 2003 or
2005). Currently, I am using version 4.0 ActiveSync over an RS232 link. All
the CE remote tools supplied with platform builder function via the
ActiveSync link to the device and Windows explorer works as well, however, VS
will not connect to the device. VS 2005 states "Error downloading
bootstrapper". Also, ActiveSync can not establish a partnership with the
device (this is not important but for information only). Is there a possible
CE catalog item that is missing? I have tried all the ones I thought might
have some bearing on the issue but with no luck. Please help.
