Hi,

When surfing the net, I frequently have a line around the page, and when I
hover the mouse over the page it says "Click to activate and use this
control".

I assume this is an Active X issue. But how can I get it to automatically
activate the controls, rather than having to click every page? Thanks!

I to am having this issue since I've updated windows. The only ubdate I did
was for explorer wondering if there is a fix. Very frustrating to say the
least.

Thanks for the reply, Sandi. But how can I set up my PC so that I don't have
to click to activate every time?

Thanks

Frazer

Tom,

Thanks for that fix 912812 - it works for me. But it's only temporary until
June. Anyone know what MS will do then?

Basically, you can't. There is a compatibility patch available that will
defer the new behaviour until June, but that is simply delaying the
inevitable.

Come June, we will have to live with it. I don't recommend that people
install the compatibility patch. Far better that Web site owners be
notified when things aren't working.

Thanks for the reply, Sandi.

Without going into too much detail, why has this happened? Surely it's a
retrograde step by Microsoft? What's the advantage to it? etc... lol
